Southern Africa, and in particular Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi have suffered from severe drought conditions not just in 2024, but over the past three years in a row. Drought affects everyone, with food price inflation running extremely high; but the rural poor are those impacted the most. Thanks to a significant donation targeted for Africa, O2H has been able to make a significant amount of emergency aid available across the region. “We are fortunate to have developed trusted partnership with a number of networks across Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi over a number of years. This means that the emergency aid that we have been able to provide gets direct to the grass roots.” says Keith Brockbank chair of trustees for O2H.
